Black Milk Scores Short Film H8DES Directed By Don Cheadle

Black Milk has provided the score for the Don Cheadle-directed film short H8DES. The project is a part of Vanity Fair’s The Decade Series which has a film representing each decade of the last 100 years. Cheadle’s H8DES is a representation of the ’80’s and Black Milk’s music for it has a Kurtis Blow sample and lots of soundbites from Ronald Reagan’s television broadcasts. Black Milk is also going on tour to promote his No Poison No Paradise album that comes out October 15th.

Ol Dirty Bastard Hologram At Rock The Bells

Ol Dirty Bastard’s hologram appeared at Rock The Bells this weekend during the Wu-Tang Clan show. His son Young Dirty also performed during the show but Method Man walked off the stage because of the poor sound. After this weekend’s showings of the ODB and Eazy E holograms it appears that Tupac’s has been the best so far.

Eddie Murphy-Red Light Feat. Snoop Dogg

Eddie Murphy has released his official video for “Red Light” from his forthcoming reggae album 9. This is Murphy’s second incarnation as a musician and this time he has chosen reggae instead of the R&B he did with Rick James and Michael Jackson in the ’80’s and early ’90’s. It’s coincidental that Musiq Soulchild and Syleena Johnson have also taken on the reggae sound with an album called 9ine that has a release date of September 24th.
