Donna Summer who was known as the Queen of Disco for the past four decades passed today of cancer at age 63. Summer’s music survived the disco backlash and became a respected part of American culture. “Hot Stuff,” “Bad Girls,” “Last Dance” and “I Feel Love” left the club and entered the mainstream. “She Works Hard For The Money” championed her presence in the ’80′s. In the ’90′s she did little recording and and appeared on the TV show Family Matters. The 2010 single “To Paris With Love” was her last charting single and it hit number one on the Dance chart.
