Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre introduced this single from Lamar’s debut much earlier today on Big Boy’s Neighborhood show. “The Recipe” was originally going to be called “Women, Weed & Weather.” Lamar’s major label effort with TDE/Aftermath/Interscope will come out later this year. Scoop Deville produced the laidback song that’s now on iTunes.

Steve Zegans starting following Philly soul/rock/pop artist Res around in 2010 and was able to capture her struggles to survive as a genre-blending not easy to type Black woman artist in the music industry.
