Billy Danze of M.O.P. Announces WeBuildHits.com

M.O.P. just dropped their Sparta album with the Snowgoons yesterday but Billy Danze is also promoting his WeBuildHits.com site. The site, which boasts 1,000 members is designed to be a bridge between artists and industry tastemakers like Pete Rock and Easy Mo Bee. As Danze puts it, “WeBuildHits.com has been created with one simple premise in mind, to uphold the promise of every established artists/producer/music industry executive who’s ever said ‘I’m gonna put you on.” Members can post their music, have access to messageboards and established producers for differing levels of membership.


Mayer Hawthorne Does Halftime Show

Mayer Hawthorne is going to perform his own halftime show for Detroit Lions/Green Bay Packers from his parents’ home in Michigan tomorrow. There has been controversy over the official halftime show scheduled to be performed by Canadian rock band Nickelback. A petition was started to stop Nickelback’s show and Hawthorne decided to take things into his own hands. How Do You Do is in stores now.


Gucci Mane and V-Nasty Team-Up For BAYTL

Gucci Mane has collaborated with Kreyshawn’s White Girl Mob cohort, V-Nasty, for their street album BAYTL. Gucci says that people will be surprised by BAYTL that’s being lead by the viral single “Whip Appeal.” Vice is presenting the official single,“F**k You” on their site. The unusual project will come out December 13th on the Vice/Warners imprint.
