Meek Millz to perform @ “2Pac 40th Birthday Celebration Concert,” 6/16 in ATL

June 8, 2011 (Atlanta, Ga) – Hollywood comedian and actor Mike Epps has joined forces for a third year with Afeni Shakur, mother of hip-hop legend Tupac Shakur in celebration of the late rapper’s 40th birthday celebration on June 16, 2011 at the Atlanta Symphony Hall in Atlanta, Ga. The semi-formal birthday extravaganza will feature soulful performances from GRAMMY® award-winning artist, Erykah Badu, Roy Ayers and Eric Roberson as well as hip-hop heavyweights DJ Drama, Meek Millz, Too Short, Bun B, 8 Ball and MJG. Newcomer Meek Millz will pay tribute to the legend, performing his hit single “Tupac Back”. Actress and long-time friend of Tupac Shakur, Jasmine Guy will present a special video presentation. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation for the Arts.


Mr. J. Medeiros – “Swallow” feat. Logan, Full Length Album Saudade Out June 14th

Mr. J. Medeiros is releasing his second full-length album Saudade on his imprint De Medeiros. The album will be out June 14th with distribution via Fat Beats. The record marks the first time his production trio The Stare, featuring Stro, Luke Atencio and himself, have been featured together on record. Today marks the release of the first single “Swallow” feat. Logan from Saudade.

Kreayshawn Signs With Columbia Records

(June 8, 2011 – New York, NY) East Oakland native, visual artist, swag assassin, and undercat Kreayshawn (Kray-shawn) has officially signed with Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. The 21 year-old will release “Gucci Gucci” via digital retailers on Tuesday, June 14th and prepare her forthcoming full-length debut album, due later this year.


Dorien Wilson Reunites with Mo’Nique on The Mo’Nique Show

Hollywood, CA – Actor Dorien Wilson will visit with his former co-star, Mo’Nique, from television’s best-loved series “The Parkers” when he graces the couch on “The Mo’Nique Show” on Thursday, June 9, 2011. The two reigned as television’s funniest stars as Professor Oglevee and Niki Parker for six years when “The Parkers” ruled as one of UPN’s top rated shows. Their television marriage culminated the series’ run and the show moved into syndication.
