Marvin Sease was from South Carolina and became a pioneer in raunchy R&B in the ’80’s with his single “Candy Licker.” After working for years on the chitlin’ circuit and releasing his music independently, he signed deals with Polygram and Jive. His last recording was 2008’s Who’s Got The Power on the Malaco label.
