Media Questions Of The Week

1. Did Jermaine Dupri really make death threats against blogger Sandra Rose?

2. Is it really surprising now that Essence is owned by Time that they’ve hired a white fashion editor? Why don’t people understand that until magazines like Vogue and W start integrating Black editors into their organizations that Essence hiring a white fashion editor is not fair? How could it be that the woman chosen could be the only woman qualified? And why is it that there is only one major magazine to serve Black women’s interests anyway? Lastly, when will the average person understand that Black people can not be racist against whites when collectively whites still have better opportunities?
